The Parkway is an award-winning master-planned community in northwest Folsom. It stands out amidst all others for its strong appreciation of nature – featuring more than 200 acres of open space and miles of trails.
The neighborhood was developed along Humbug Creek and has wide grassy, tree-
lined medians, landscaped roundabouts, and numerous cul-de-sacs, to keep speed and congestion non-existent. The neighborhood was awarded the 2008 Award of Excellence from the National Arbor Day Foundation. Planners took great care in integrating trees and natural features when building the community, with more than 10,000 native trees and shrubs planted by an environmental firm. Today the area is rich and vibrant with heritage oaks, willows, cottonwoods, and black walnut trees.
A number of parks, schools, and amenities are located within minutes of this very desirable neighborhood. The on-site Parkway Shopping Center is anchored by a Raleys and is home to numerous restaurants. Broadstone Plaza and the Palladio, with its boutique shops, fine dining and 16-screen movie theatre, are also nearby.
The Folsom Zoo, Folsom Sports Complex, and Empire Ranch Golf Course are within minutes of the The Parkway, and residents are only half a mile from the Folsom Point access to Folsom Lake.
Commuters love the fact that Sacramento is mere minutes away, but The Parkway is only blocks from Mercy Hospital, one of the area’s largest employers. Folsom also boasts Intel, one of the county’s largest private employers. The research and development campus is one of Intel’s largest sites. Its design and construction flow seamlessly with the area’s landscape and surrounding community.
